Cheerio and Bonjour Friends!

I had the opportunity to work for Collette, a guided travel company, who hired me to capture images on a Family Tour to use for their new marketing materials, website and catalogue.  I rode along with passengers as part of their family tour of London and Paris for 8 days.  We visited all the iconic sites in each of the cities including Big Ben, London Tower Bridge, The London Eye, The Eifel Tower, The Arch de Triumph, The Louvre and on and on.  Oh, and we ate.  A lot.  Not a bad gig.  

The trip was a whirl wind.  It requires a certain amount of adrenaline and mental focus for an extended period of time.  I guess the best way to explain it to photographer friends is that it's like shooting seven weddings back-to-back and then add some international flights and train rides in the mix as part of your regular photo duties.  

The highlight of my experience was meeting the guests of the tour and helping to capture their experience in a natural and photojournalistic way.  We recruited some guests to join Courtney, Collette’s art director, and me for formal shoots on Westminster Bridge in London. The response was tremendous.  In fact, the guests had so much fun that they spread the word among the other passengers and we had an enormous turn out for another photo shoot at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.  The guests were having so much fun which made my work of capturing their excitement that much easier.
